Developing your skills at School

Students should be able to learn and develop several skills and techniques during secondary school level. Without these skills, they will not be able to successfully participate and adapt in a working environment. Consequently, they won’t be adequately prepared for university level / TVET Education and the world of work.

Skills that should be developed at school level are as follows:

  • Collaboration and teamwork
  • Creativity and imagination
  • Critical thinking
  • Problem solving
  • Leadership
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Social responsibility and ethics
  • Self-confidence

The above mentioned skills are developed at schools through extra curriculum activities as descried below:

Extra-curricular activities are activities performed in or off school setting / off regular classroom. This can help students meet new people with whom they share interests and improve their social skills as a result.
